Helen Hunt - Helen Hunt Cake Design

Hello! My name is Helen and in January 2020 I founded Helen Hunt Cake Design. My love of all things sweet started from a young age, a very young age, when I thought a chocolate coated cherry tomato was a suitable replacement for a strawberry. Since then, my flavour combinations have improved and I went on to study Culinary Entrepreneurship at Dublin Institute of Technology. I graduated top of my class and developed a variety of culinary and business skills. I worked in several establishments in Dublin including The Merrion Five Star Hotel and Airfield Estate. In West Cork, I worked at the Blairscove House and Restaurant. At these establishments I learned the importance of flavour, creativity, consistency in standards and food provenance. My cake decorating skills were fine tuned in 2017 when I attended Fair Cake in London and completed a sugar flower course and contemporary wedding cake course. This year, I completed a sugar flower course with Suzanne Brady of Cove Cake Design. I aim to use these skills and techniques to create your dream cake.
